It’s Volume 3 of Teaching Tuesday here at HoJo’s Teaching Adventures. There were many great posts linked up last week, but I need to share a few of my favorites. Check out the three featured posts, but look below in the link up to find amazing tips, great freebies, and some awesome products!
This post might be one of the best ideas I’ve seen yet for teaching Order of Operations. I’ll be honest, I’ve been guilty of telling students that we do the orders in that reason because. Well, that’s a pretty bad reason! This blog post shares the actual reason with a FREEBIE! Check it out here.
Do you remember the book The Day the Crayons Quit? It’s adorable! Well, now there’s an awesome sequel called The Day the Crayons Came Home. I had no idea this was out, but I’m stoked to get my hands on a copy! Click here to learn a little more about the story and find out how you might be able to use it in your classroom.
And we all know how intimidating parent-teacher conferences can be as a teacher. But have you ever thought about what it’s like to be on the other side – as a parent or guardian. Yes, many of you are parents, but this is a great read for anyone who does not yet have their own children (and even those who do!).
- Link up with grade level and topic. For example: 3-5 Math Rounding Ideas, K-2 Estimation Activity, or 4-6 Close Reading. Those who do not follow this will have their link deleted.
- Only blog posts from the last week should be linked up. Direct links to stores or individual products will be deleted. Your blog post can be about paid items, freebies, or any great teaching ideas. If you have written five blog posts in the last week, link them all up!
- When you link up your post, you are agreeing to let HoJo use any images from that post in a future blog post or blog post round-up.
- Visit other links! Please try to visit at least three other links and leave a meaningful comment. =)
