Those of you who have followed me for awhile know that I loved my year of Reading Recovery training and teaching. Whether or not you believe in the program, I believe that year of extensive training made me a better teacher!
One of the many things I learned along the way is how important letter recognition is! Students need to know that an uppercase “I” can look a lot like a lowercase “L”. They also need to know how to differentiate between b, d, p, and q. Of course there are many more examples, but I think you get the idea…
So anyway, I created a letter maze to help young students recognize the many different ways letters can look!
