If you’re on the lookout for positive affirmations to help boost student self esteem and enhance your social emotional learning lessons, this is it!
I wanted a way to show my own children at home that they are loved and special. Personally I’ve had to overcome a lot of negative self talk, so this will help me teach my children the power of positive thinking.
WHAT YOU GET:
- A list of 46 “I am…” positive affirmations words or short phrases
- Printable affirmations to create a poster
- Blank affirmations
- Editable options via PowerPoint
These affirmations are a simple way to create a display or share a bookmark to help students know and remember that they are loved, cared for, appreciated, and special.
Print the display to put around a mirror or create a bulletin board in your classroom. Give every student a bookmark. Send the full sheet home with parents and families so they can remind the child or the student can put them up in their bedroom. (Both my kids have one by their dressers so they see it each day while getting dressed.)
You can even create a daily mantra or positive affirmation time during the day where students recite the one they feel the most or share why that word is specific to them in that moment.
EDITABLE OPTION: Use the PowerPoint file to add your own words that best fit your needs.
Please know this download is meant to be a stepping stone. You need to discuss the words. Remind your students or children. Help them remember they are loved, worthy, and deserving of good things in life. Your words and actions are what will truly make this download the most meaningful.
There are NO color options in this download to save on ink when printing. I used cardstock when printing to add the pop of color that worked best for each room. All fonts are Century Gothic so you can quickly and easily change the PowerPoint file. OR change to the font of your choice!
Thanks for looking!
