Thanksgiving can often be the forgetten month since it seems every retail store goes straight from Halloween to Christmas. But in the classroom, you can still make the most of it with these Thanksgiving activities for kids.

Basic Shapes into Art
I love taking something simple and turning it into some more fun. That’s what I did below with this turkey. I took a basic square tarsia puzzle – although you could also use a circle, rectangle, hexagon, or oval. Then I free-hand cut out the feathers, beak, and legs from construction paper. The eyes were part of this free download. What a cute little guy!
